Hart’s Jewelry originated on a country road outside of Angelica NY. Mr. Hart began his career as a country craftsmen, designing and crafting his own line of sterling silver jewelry. He had a small display in the house and would attend craftshows throughout the northeast. He won various awards and had many fans of his work. In 1980 he attended the GIA Graduate Gemologist course in Santa Monica, California and is now a Certified Graduate Gemologist. In 1988 Bill and Denise Hart decided to open a store in Wellsville and purchased 148 North Main St. in downtown Wellsville. The beautiful and historic building was built in 1868 and was the first brick building on Main Steet. It has housed many well known businesses over the years in Wellsville, including a bank and a meat market. Through the years the Harts have restored the building to it’s original splendor. The Hart’s Jewelry business and the Hart Building are an important part of the downtown business community. In 2022 Hart’s Jewely celebarted their 40th year in business. Through the years we have worked hard to offer the best service possible while offering the finest quality merchandise at the most competitive prices. Mr. Hart has over 40 years experience as a gemologist which allows him to select the finest quality diamonds and colored stones for their clients.
